I try to summarize every day, route or point of interest in a maximum of 10 photos. Not coincidentally also the maximum number in an Instagram message. Of course I take a lot more photos than that, sometimes I take many dozens of photos of an event, but that doesn't make anyone happy, including myself, so I throw away more than half to keep the best.
But now I have a problem because the two most important sights in Chiang Rai are the white and the blue temple. And they are photogenic! So beautiful that every few steps I take beautiful images appear again. This time only a few extra messages, with the white temple as the first.
Wat Rong Khun, better known as the White Temple of Chang Rai, is an art exhibit in the style of a Buddhist temple. Designer Chalermchai Kositpipat, also a private owner, used only white color to represent Buddha's purity. The construction project started in 1997 and will probably not be finished until 2070!
Unofficially it is also said that both temples were made to attract tourists because otherwise Chiang Rai has too little to offer, but they are beautiful anyway!
