I want iced coffee! And mountains.

By ivo

I'm slowly overheating and try to avoid a headache, despite the fact that I drink a lot of water, by ordering iced coffee from a roadside restaurant. But the young lady who helps me doesn't even understand what I mean with the translation app and comes over with a hot cup of coffee and tea. When I ask for ice and put it in my coffee, she understands and even gives me a new cup of coffee and a few glasses of ice. In the end, communication always succeeds.

The landscape is still not very interesting. I drive on the only paved road, with few bends, through a flat landscape with rice fields and dry fields. Every few kilometers a small village with houses of mainly farmers in between. These houses are built on stilts and life mainly takes place underneath. I see children playing and families eating or resting in the hammock.

Fortunately, the landscape starts to change towards the end of the afternoon and I occasionally see some mountains looming on the horizon. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow's ride.
