After three days with many impressions in Chiang Mai, I feel like getting back on the bike. Especially because I know what awaits us: the only road from Chiang Mai to Pai is one of the most beautiful in the country. Perfect asphalt, hundreds of turns, climbs and descents through beautiful rainforests.

The morning starts out a bit gray, but soon the sun starts to break through and the temperature rises again. When we drive through the mountains, 27 degrees even feels cooling. Since the route is quite short at 132 km, we stop regularly along the way. The same goes for the Mok Fa Waterfall. The road to it is already a pleasure and luckily it is only a 10 minute walk from the parking lot. The waterfall is beautiful and it is not crowded.

Pai is no more than a large village, but it is still a major tourist attraction. Especially many backpackers and young people come here to make trips in the beautiful surroundings and to chill at the many coffee shops, bars and restaurants.

After an evening out with the youth dancing on the tables and benches, we take it easy the next morning. In the afternoon we visit a waterfall near the village where you can swim and on the way back we eat while enjoying live music and a red setting sun. A typical day in Pai.
