Snorkeling at Koh Larn Island

By ivo

The alarm clock ends a short night. But it was well worth the pleasant evening. Even a night out in this city is quite an experience.

We booked a snorkeling excursion to Koh Larn Island off the coast of Pattaya. At 8.00 am we are standing in front of the shop of the diving center to be taken to the harbor by a minibus. Seasickness pills are handed out and as I am quite sensitive to this I gladly accept one. A large part of the 35 divers make a wreck dive in the morning and at the dive site afterwards we, the snorkelers, can also enter the water.

Since I have dived a lot myself, it tickles a bit when I see all the dive preparations on the boat. But we are here to snorkel together and fortunately that is also a beautiful experience. Certainly also because Pim sees a large octopus that we can approach very closely. Amazing how this beast changes color at lightning speed and even lights up when I touch it.

Fortunately, seasickness does not occur and after a full day at sea we are neatly dropped off near the hotel. The evening walk along the beach ends in a bar where we watch the first F1 game of the season. At the end of the race, our eyes get heavy again and we immediately go to bed, because tomorrow we will start the engines again.
