A Unesco World Heritage city with beautiful historic temples and many buildings from the time when Laos was still a colony of France. The city has a village feel and there is much to see and do in the area, which in turn attracts many young tourists.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first day I&#039;m here my stomach is a bit upset so I have a good excuse to stay here a few more days. Two days later I am completely fit again and I am going to visit one of the many waterfalls in the area. The Kuang Si waterfall is the most beautiful but also the busiest. However, I get there fairly early so I avoid the crowds a bit. Moments later, however, a thunderstorm brings some heavy showers. It doesn&#039;t bother me at all because I&#039;m already walking around in swimsuits anyway. Very special to swim in a downpour in this beautiful place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the way back I stop for a water buffalo milk ice cream and coffee at a restaurant that has nice seats in the middle of the rice fields.
